Walking in Trieste, Italy, just past a statue of James Joyce, I saw the reflection. It was a living painting, moving and changing with each gentle gust of wind. Maybe a realistic definition of watercolor. Enjoy.
I had this song on repeat this morning, and an idea popped into my head. There are so many lyrics of out this song that I love, but I just thought I would start with this today. So, here is another practice piece that I thought I would share! (and I love Sufjan Stevens version of this song that he recorded on his Christmas album…if you want to go check it out!)
I have so many portrait shots from my travels, so I thought that I would put a few of them out on the blog for the next few weeks! These two portraits are from Merauke, Papua, Indonesia. It is hard to believe that this trip was almost three years ago. I had just landed halfway around the world when I found out that Cheyenne’s dad had passed away. I had one day in the country, and then I caught the one flight back out of Merauke heading back to the US. These two portraits were captured during those few hours that I was there. The man on the left was taking a break from his construction work on a large mosque, and the lady was simply taking a break from house work and enjoying a walk in the yard.
