I branched out a little! It started with an idea, gained momentum by putting together a great team, and the images below prove that good things happened on a gloomy Saturday in April. This is the first styled shoot in the history of rojo foto//design, and I think I liked it! I mean, who doesn’t like cotton candy?! …and who can resist liking these amazing colors?! Well, I’ll post some photos and then add my commentary in between.
Setting up the table just added to the fun. First off, a huge thanks to my neighbor, Carol, who brought along some great ideas and dishes (not to mention her sewing the buntings and the carnival-like tent) to decorate the table. Carol is one of those people that will make everything she touches look amazing! I put together all of the cake stands with plates and candleholders from Goodwill, and then painted them these beautiful colors (a great DIY project for any event, or for your own cake plates at home). Also, meet my new word invention…invented for this shoot…the “cotton candy-labra”. It is simply cotton candy spun around a champagne flute so you get the fluffy cotton candy top, and the crystal stem.
Each of the vendors provided amazing products to add in beautiful details to the look of the shoot. Make sure and check out the vendor list at the end of this post!
A huge thanks to everyone involved, and to my co-stylist Nikki Evans. It was great to see everything come together and turn out so beautifully!
